Dan Kellaway comes from a background in music, art and guitar repair. Over the last twenty years he has made various stringed instruments (his Renaissance Lutes are also very highly regarded), and repaired and restored many of the great master guitars, allowing him the opportunity to study the great makers work, comparing their sounds and methods of construction.

Kellaway Guitars are produced with a pre-stressed European Spruce lattice into a European Spruce soundboard, resulting in a powerful sound while still retaining the sweetness of a 'Spanish' style tone. The bridges utilize the 12 hole tie block system, increasing the saddle break angle in comparison to the standard system. High construction quality and attention to the finer details of playability make them world class concert instruments. They are used by Richard Charlton, Jochen Schubert, Michelle Nelson, Rob McMullen, Brian Frith, Christopher Keane and Rick Falkiner to name a few.
